Regarding the curved design, Longi explained that the Hi-MO X eliminates power losses caused by solder strip shading and a novel cell series-parallel circuit design significantly increases power generation performance in shaded conditions. The unique cell string circuit design also reduces hot spots and their temperatures, allowing for a lower working current to be used.

Boasting 20% conversion efficiency, Longi’s focus is squarely on quality, bucking the recent trend of solar manufacturers to create cheaper solutions that simply don’t last.

Clean Energy Council Approved

With the push for on-grid solar energy in Australia increasing year after year, there has been a race to produce the most affordable solar panels available, however this has led to many customers experiencing equipment degradation and reduced efficiency in a short amount of time.

Thanks to the Clean Energy Council’s (CEC) new MAST backsheet durability certification, customers can now make smarter choices. With Longi’s new Hi-MO X panels using DuPont’s Tedlar as the backsheet material, they automatically qualify for the CEC’s ‘enhanced listings’ criteria.
